INTENTIONAL NOURISHMENT

intentional nourishment is a way of life, nurturing ourselves, our communities, and our planet. sisterwoman's practice draws from mindfulness, holistic wellness and the Black Radical Tradition.

intentional nourishment is a holistic concept that goes beyond simply eating to sustain the body. it involves a conscious, thoughtful approach to food, recognising the deep connections between what we eat, how we feel, and the broader systems of community, culture, wellness, the environment, and the politics that inform them.

by choosing food that nourishes our bodies, supports our cultural identities, promotes sustainability, and fosters a sense of community, the practice of intentional nourishment empowers us to reclaim agency over our wellness, our cultures, and our futures. it's a radical act of care, both for ourselves and the world around us.

sisterwoman seeks to rethink what it means to nourish your body and spirit, to honour your ancestors, and to approach food with intention, joy and gratitude. it is a reminder that food can be a way to honour not just our heritage, but the future(s) that we want to build.

the kitchen is a place of joy

soul food depends on what you put in it. i don't mean spices either.

if you have a serious, loving, creative energetic attitude towards life, when you cook, you cook with the same attitude. food changes into blood, blood into cells, cells change into energy which changes up into life and since your lifestyle is imaginative, creative, loving, energetic, serious, food is life. you dig.
